Household quilts are an indispensable necessity for our winter. Some people care about the bed cover fabric, and some people care about the cotton core. In fact, there are many materials for the inner core of the quilt to choose from. Cotton, velvet, down, etc. can be used.

Pure cotton is a natural plant fiber, which has the characteristics of moisture absorption, breathability, softness, anti-sensitivity, easy cleaning, and no pilling. However, the characteristics of different cottons are still different, and pure cottons such as long-staple cotton are different from fine-staple cotton. Long-staple cotton is thinner and longer than fine-staple cotton, and the fiber length is generally greater than 33mm, up to 60-70mm. Long-staple cotton is softer and smoother than ordinary cotton. In terms of gloss, long-staple cotton has a higher degree and better gloss than ordinary cotton. Long-staple cotton is a fine product of cotton, so in addition to the characteristics of pure cotton, it also has different characteristics from cotton: good drape, silk-like smoothness; high color fastness of the fabric, long-term wash without fading; wear-resistant and durable, anti-wrinkle Good sex, not easy to pilling. How to judge the quality of this kind of cotton in life?

One grasp: Grab the fabric in your hand with a handful of hands, and then let go. If the wrinkle is severe, it means that the cotton composition is mostly.

Second look: pure cotton fabrics are relatively light in luster, not strong in reflection, and look softer.

Three touches: the hand feeling of pure cotton fabric is softer and more comfortable than other textures

Four burning: pure cotton can be burned, accompanied by the smell of burning paper, the ashes turn black, and can be completely crushed by hand.

Five washes: Pure cotton fabrics shrink less and wrinkle after washing.

Another point is about down fabrics. The down fabric has good air permeability and moisture removal, and has more than 5 times the air permeability of ordinary fabrics. To check its quality, you can also rely on these points:

Touch: Touch the duvet with your hand to see if it is soft and comfortable, and feel whether the feathers in the duvet have complete small feathers, large feathers that are too long and thick, whether there are hard quills, etc.

Press: Lay the duvet flat on the bed, let it recover naturally for three minutes, press the duvet with your hand, release your hand immediately, and see if the duvet returns to its original state immediately.

Smell: Whether the down has a peculiar smell, and if the smell is severe, there is a problem with the quality of the down.

Pat: Tap the duvet with your hands to see if there is dust coming out of the duvet, the less the better.
